Movie Review: House of Flying Daggers **(Two Stars)

Was really excited to see House of Flying Daggers after Crouching Tiger and Hero made such an impression on me, with its throwback storylines and amazing visuals. But where Tiger and Hero combine these epic storys with beautiful martial arts coreography and breathtaking cinematograophy, Daggers underwhelms in all departments. The fights are less complex and to often done in slow-motion and the picture is broken up with these tracking shots of digital daggers and arrows flying through the air. Would highly recommend Tiger or Hero before this one.
